Seiji Okuda
Seiji Okuda was born and raised in Shigaraki. Stone particles that show through the coarse clay, combined with his own black ash glaze and kohiki slip, give his pieces the look of rock surfaces. Each carries the robustness of the clay along with a cool, metallic feel. Careful wheel-throwing keeps the walls thin and the pieces light, which helps with everyday use.
